Hello Writers, Poets, and Artists!

Do you remember all those interesting activities and techniques for developing our “right brain,” which was supposed to be the seat of our creativity and innovation, while our “left brain” was designated as the place where logical thinking and analysis occurred? Some of us may still own a well-worn copy of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, a book we may have purchased to spark our creative selves.

Not to burst any bubbles, but current neuroscience now calls the “right brain”/“left brain” explanation for modes of thinking “a simplified myth.” New research into why some people seem to be more creative and artistic points to how effectively our brains communicate between different regions.
