Hello, Creative Writers!

If you have been feeling a little overwhelmed in your writing life, or you’re searching for an easy organizational method, we have something for you to try! In researching some ways to bring order into our busy lives, we came across a time-management tool called the “Urgent-Important Matrix,” or more commonly, the “Eisenhower Matrix,” as it is attributed to President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Its origin is linked to Eisenhower’s legendary productivity and decision-making skills, and his famous quote, what is important is seldom urgent, and what is urgent is seldom important. This organizational method became popular in personal development and business circles when it was included in Stephen R. Covey’s book, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” published in 1989. We would like to give it a makeover so that it can easily be applied to our writing lives, giving us a framework for keeping our poet-selves productive and happy!
