Hello Muse Readers!
We recently came across a series published several years ago by the British newspaper, The Guardian, in which contemporary authors were asked to offer their “rules” for writing—advice they would give to aspiring writers based on their years of experience of putting pen to paper. We particularly enjoyed reading the “writing rules” of Zadie Smith, the award-winning essayist, novelist, and short story writer, who is currently a professor in the creative writing department at New York University.
